Villa Tamaris has commanding panoramic views over the beautiful Corbieres Hills that stretch from the Mediterranean to the Spanish border, and are steeped in local history. The area enjoys over 300 days of sunshine annually with long hot summers and mild winters. Magnificent Mediterranean beaches are but a short drive away and for those who wish to immerse themselves in local history and culture, the Languedoc Corbire's region has a wealth of Castles, Ancient Monasteries, Medieval Cities and stunning scenery awaiting your arrival. Villa Tamaris is a few minutes walk from the lovely village of Durban with a Supermarket, Boulangerie, Bank, Pharmacy, Restaurent, Bar and Cave co-operative. The local wines are a must to try and are of exceptional quality and value.

Resort description : Visitor Attractions On this self catering holiday in Villa Tamaris, visitors can immerse themselves in the ancient history of the area. Medieval castles like Chateau Queribus and Chateau Peyreprteuse sit high on mountaineous outcrops commanding the area around them. The beautiful walled city of Carcassonne is a must to visit as are the monasteries at Lagrasse and Fontfroide. All this area is Cathar country and historians will find a wealth of history to savour and enjoy. Nearby Narbonne and Beziers have a stunning array of shops and services with a magnificent fresh food market and Cathederal in Narbonne. Just 15 - 20 minutes away is the lovely town of Sigean with it's highly rated African Reserve a must visit for all those nature lovers. The nearest Beach Resorts of Le Franqui and Leucate are a mere 20-30 minutes by car with beaches that stretch for miles and safe swimming in the clear Meditteranean waters. Irish Law governs this agreement. I. Booking / Rental • Please contact the owner by e-mail to confirm availability of your chosen property. Complete and return the booking form & payment as detailed. • Unless otherwise stated, the rental period is from 16.00 hrs. on the day of arrival until 10.00 hrs. on the day of departure. • Unless otherwise stated, rental of “The Property” includes water, electricity, linen and towels (including beach/pool towels). • The persons residing in the rental properties, during the rental period, must not alter from that stated on the booking form, nor shall it exceed the maximum number stated in the website advertisement or advised to you at the time of booking. • The Client and party acquire no rights whatsoever over the property excepting occupation as a holiday let for the period booked. The Client shall not sub-let the property. • The Client should report any breakages and/or defects in the property or its contents to the Property Owner or DJ Designs (Property Managers) without delay. • The bringing of dogs or any pets onto the property is strictly forbidden. • Villa Tamaris is a Non Smoking Residence II. Payment • All payments shall be made in Euro unless otherwise agreed. • 25% deposit due on booking. Cheques and bank transfers are required within 7 days. • Final balance due 8 weeks prior to arrival. Payment reminders will be issued by e-mail 9 weeks prior to arrival. • Total rent is payable in full on booking within 8 weeks of arrival. • Late payments will incur an administration charge of €25.00 or the cancellation of booking and loss of deposit payment. III. Security Bond • A security bond of €200 must be paid when balance payment is made. • Any breakages, damage or loss caused to the property or its contents during the rental period may result in the forfeit of some or the entire security bond. • Notwithstanding the security bond held, the Client remains liable for the full cost of any repairs or replacements required due to accidental or negligent breakage, loss, damage or otherwise abuse of the property. • The Client shall leave the accommodation in the same state of cleanliness and general order in which it was found. • The Property Owner reserves the right to retain money from the security bond, to cover additional cleaning costs should the property be left in an unacceptable condition. • The Property Owner reserves the right to deduct supplementary charges from the security deposit if the property is not vacated at the stated time. • The security bond (or part thereof) will be returned to the Client within 14 days after departure from the Property. IV. Cancellations • Cancellation Policy - Only written notification can be accepted. (a) Cancellation more than 8 weeks prior to arrival: 0% of deposit refunded. (b) Cancellation within 8 week of arrival: 0% of full payment refunded. • If the Property Owner re-books the cancelled dates, a refund will be made proportionate to any reduction in the rental rate. • It is essential clients effect holiday insurance cover to ensure losses on flights and accommodation are fully covered. • The Property Owner reserves the right to modify or withdraw any booking due to circumstances beyond their control and cannot be liable for any loss, expense, inconvenience or claim arising there from. • Should the property become unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances and equivalent alternative accommodation cannot be offered, a full refund will be made. V. Insurance • The Client is strongly recommended to arrange a comprehensive travel insurance policy, which includes cancellation cover and full cover for the Clients personal belongings, public liability, etc., since these losses are not the responsibility of the Property Owner. • The Property Owner accepts no liability for loss or damage to the Clients personal belongings. The house must be kept locked at night and whenever unattended. • It is advised that the Client take additional breakdown and motor insurance if on a self-drive holiday. VI. General • The Property Owner shall not be held responsible for; (a) Any temporary defect or stoppage in the supply of public services to the property, or in respect of any equipment, machinery, or appliances in the property or garden. (b) Any loss, damage or injury, which is a result of adverse weather conditions, riot, war, strikes, or other matters beyond the owner’s control. (c) Any loss, damage or inconvenience caused to or suffered by the client if the property is destroyed or substantially damaged before the start of, or during the rental period. • If the Client fails to notify the Property Owner or DJ Designs (Property Managers) of any problems or dissatisfactions prior to departure from the property, it may affect the ability to investigate complaints and impact the way that any complaint is dealt with. • The Property Owner accepts no liability or responsibility whatsoever for any accident or injury sustained in the property, the grounds or swimming pool. Children must be supervised at all times. • The Client is expected to act in a manner that would not cause unacceptable disturbance to residents in neighbouring properties. • Swimming Pool: The Private swimming pool is available from the end of April – End of October. • The Property Owner has adhered to all French government regulations relating to making the swimming pool safe. The swimming pool is for the use of guests only and children must be supervised at all times in and around the swimming pool area. Activation of the pool alarm or the covering of the pool with its security cover when not in use is a condition of rental. • Accuracy of Property Descriptions and Pictures: (a) Great care is taken to provide accurate information on the property and general area in which it is located. However, there may be occasions when facilities, which are not under the control of the Property Owner, may not be available. (b) The Property Owner will endeavour to inform you of any such changes in advance, although these will not in themselves necessarily entitle you to cancel your booking without the usual penalties. (c) Where circumstances beyond the control of the Property Owner necessitate a change in holiday arrangements, you will be advised as soon as possible.
